Shoulder Flexion Mobility

The Shoulder Flexion Mobility exercise aims to increase the mobility of your shoulder, specifically it going forwards.

In standing start with your arm down by your side. Whilst keeping the arm straight lift your hand above your head as far as you can comfortably go, before returning to the start. Make sure your torso remains upright and doesn’t rotate with the movement, and that your shoulder doesn’t shrug upwards to help generate the movement.

Aim to complete the reps and sets as suggested in your rehab programme.

If this exercise is too challenging you may find the Shoulder Wall Climb Exercise easier.

If you find this exercise helpful, there are a number of other shoulder mobility exercises available on our channel.
