The Shoulder Flexion Wall Climb exercise aims to increase the mobility of your shoulder, specifically taking your arm forwards and above your head.
Standing opposite a wall roughly half a meter away, simply crawl the hands up the wall as far as you can comfortably perform, before returning to the start position. Make sure your shoulders remain as relaxed as possible and they don’t shrug up to generate further range, as this will reduce the stretch on the muscles. You should feel the shoulder muscles being stretched during this movement but it shouldn’t produce any sharp pain.
To make this exercise easier you can stand closer to the wall, to make it harder simply move further away.
Aim to complete the reps and sets as suggested in your free rehabilitation programme from our website.
