This exercise is Mountain Climbers and its aim is to strengthen the abdominal muscles, along with the muscles and tendons on the front of your hip.
Start by holding yourself up off the floor in a press up position, with a straight line between your feet, knees, hips and shoulder.
Then move one knee forward towards your arms whilst trying to maintain a stable torso position, and not moving your other leg. Repeat the other side completing the suggested reps or duration from your rehab programme.
If you find this exercise too difficult you may find it easier to perform a Full Plank or a Full Side Plank exercise instead - videos for both of these exercises are on our channel.
