Wrist Extension Strength
This exercise is aiming to strengthen the wrist extensor muscles on the back of your forearm.
Have your forearm resting on a table to help offer support with your palm facing down. Holding a dumbbell or a bottle water for weight and with your hand off the edge of the table, whilst keeping your forearm in contact with the table, lift your hand upwards. Then slowly return back to the start position. You should aim to go through the full range of movement starting in a slightly flexed position and finishing in a fully extended position.
To make this exercise harder perform the repetition slower, increase the weight or increase the repetitions.
Follow the advice in your rehab programme for the suggested number of reps or duration you need to perform.
