Pronation and Supination Range of Movement
This exercise is aiming to improve the rotational range of movement in the forearm, specifically the movements of pronation and supination.
With your elbow at your side and bent to 90 degrees, start with your palm facing upwards towards the sky. Then turn your hand over so your palm is now facing towards the floor, whilst keeping your elbow tucked to the side of your torso bent to 90 degree. At the end of the movement return back to the start position.
This can be performed in sitting or standing, and you can even rest your forearm on a table when doing the movement which may make it more comfortable. You can also use your other hand to help encourage the movement and increase the range further.
