The Lying Knee Pull exercise is aiming to improve the range of movement of your lower back, specifically to help with activities requiring you to bend over.
Start by lying on the floor on your back, with your knees bent. Then bring one of your legs upwards towards your chest, and using your hands hold onto your leg and gently pull it towards you.
After holding the position at the end of the movement for roughly 1 or 2 seconds, you can return to the start position. Repeat this movement now for your other leg. You should feel a gentle stretch of the muscles in your lower back with this exercise.
Aim to complete the reps and sets as suggested in your rehab programme.
If you find this exercise helpful, there are a number of other lower back mobility exercises available on our channel.
