This exercise is elbow extension and its aim is to increase the range of motion of the elbow joint.
In standing or sitting, with your arm out in front of you and supported with your other hand, straighten your elbow out with gravity helping to get as much range as possible. Extend your elbow slowly to it's end of range so that you are in control during the movement. When you get to the end of range, bend your elbow so you return to the start position, and then repeat the movement.
Follow the advice in your rehab programme for the suggested number of repetitions and sets you need to perform.
