Side Lying Thoracic Rotation

The Side Lying Thoracic Rotation exercise is aiming to improve the range of movement of the middle portion of the spine, specifically in rotating left and right.

Start on the floor in side lying, with your knees slightly bent and both arms out in front of you with your hands together.

Then take the hand which is on top, and try and reach behind you, following the movement of your hand with your head.

Once at the end of this movement simply return to the start of the movement.

Aim to complete the reps and sets as suggested in your rehab programme.

If you find this exercise helpful, there are a number of other thoracic and lower back mobility exercises available on our channel.
